Hiab loader crane production moves to Poland

Hiab, has announced promises to restructure its operations in Hudiksvall, Sweden. Producer explained that the plan took it’s origin from an analysis initiated because of tightening competition and increasing pressure for cost efficiency to have an extended-term sustainable profitability level. Hiab declared that it expected to save approximately �11m annually in the changes with full effect from the year 2016. It also predicted to get restructuring costs of approximately �14m.

The move can finish production responsibility for bridge crane, recycling cranes and forestry cranes in the facility. Assembly operations in Hudiksvall would cease gradually by the first quarter of 2015. The measures also can resulted in number staff at Hudiksvall being halved from 300.
